Just yesterday afternoon I had the opportunity to go out to lunch with my daughter, sister in-law and my mother-in law. We decided to go have hot-pot.
My daughter had been there several time before; for me and my in- laws it was our first time. We all had a wonderful time. Our waitress was patient, friendly, and attentive to us throught out our lunch date. If your going to have the hot pot ", you should only go with company you like and love to be with.
Having a hot pot meal was quite an exiting and pleasant experience at KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot at the Colony Mall in Jersey City. Having such a professional and friendly waitress was a major part of the great dining experience. We started off with our choices of broth brought to the table and set on electric burners set in front of each of us four.
My daughter guided us on choosing the meats, seafood, vegetables and other items to put in our boiling broths. There were so many choices of sauces and items to eat.
All I can say is I loved the Hot Pot and every one should come and give it a try. Remember this is a meal you want to experience with friends, and family you want to spend time with. I am certainly coming back for a Hot Pot meal.

Awesome place for delicious food. Service is prompt and attentive. The food itself is delicious and you are set up for success with good quality cooktops and tools. Really impressive variety of things available, ranging from beef to lamb to pork to chicken to fish to all kinds of vegetables. Highly recommend this place!

Stopped by for a lunch. I love KPOT but the ones you can do self service. This one has only Garnishes as self service. The rest of the food you have to order it through small screen on the table.
Overall an OK place.

Korean BBQ and or Hot Pot … All You Can Eat! ?
The menu has a great selection of meats, seafood, and veggies. 8 types of starch for the hot pot and pretty much just rice for the BBQ ?
Everything is fresh and their sauce station can get overwhelming but there are suggestions of mixes.
Great service from the hosts to the wait staff. They continually check if you need anything like more soup base or change the grill if it is starting to burn or what else you’d like for your limitless stomach. Our visits have been anywhere from them to cooking everything to just leaving the plates to BBQ ourselves when it is packed. Having that ‘table service’ is nice and BBQ ourselves is just as nice/fun of an experience. If you’re uncertain about the cooking they are more than happy and willing to help.
The marinates of the BBQ meats are great and the hot pot of course gets tastier as it goes with the amount of additional flavoring from the cooking.
Make sure to come hungry and you’re sure to leave satisfied! ☺️
It gets busy in the evenings and on weekends. Depending on the size of your party the wait may get up to an hour so plan accordingly ?

Came with a group of 7 for dinner. Our orders were taken and food was brought over but afterwards there was virtually NO service (no water refilling, no active soup refilling, no one one actively changing out our charred grill).. and 18% gratuity was automatically added to the bill because we exceeded 6 people so they know they’re getting the tip no matter how lackluster their service would be. Also unlike other Kpot locations this place charges for ice cream. Honestly I expected better and this wasn’t it.

It was ok. At other all you can eat Korean BBQ places, they give you sides for free. Here they have buffet style with about 2 choices of sides then ~10 different sauce options. As someone who loves dipping sauces, this was great and they were yummy. But I would never come back here when there are so many other good options. You get more for cheaper. Here you only get options of meat and vegetables and rice upon request.

The food was good yeah, but it was average compared to the quality and quantity of other places. And the buffet style area was a little dirty. Only a couple things were labeled- so you didn’t know what anything was. There was a peanut sauce unlabeled and sitting with all the other condiments. Not good for a common allergy where strangers could be doing god knows what to them. A girl sitting on the other side of the restaurant approached me asking what’s what in the sauce area and I just replied ‍♀️.

I really liked the passion fruit lemonade.

We also were delivered someone else’s meat choices and had to tell the waiter after a few minutes of trying to find him. But they did constantly check on our table and switched the grill out for us once it became charred.

There’s a poster in your booth with cooking times, but the vegetables needed to be cooked way longer than the couple of minutes they recommended.

The boba tea flavors have to be asked for since they aren’t listed on the menu. And they have ice cream for dessert - a couple flavors.

I don't know why people leave bad reviews here. I loved it. And I was expecting much less service.
Food was great, yes you basically cook your self but that tasted good.
Wait was long, but I was told right at the start how long it will take
And I was cold 15 min earlier.
Service was great. Our server was Timmy, thank you. We enjoyed our diner very much.
